It is very exciting for us to pick back up the work we were doing in Juliaca. Despite being sidelined due to the chaos during the pandemic, we have now gotten back on track with our mission. Throughout the time of derailment caused by the shutdowns, we never stopped praying for the continuance of our work here in Peru! I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who prayed, especially my weekly prayer partner, KS, for his unwavering support during this time this challenging period.
1Ti 2:1-4 TPT Most of all, I’m writing to encourage you to pray with gratitude to God. Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion. (2) And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts. (3) It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them. (4) He longs for everyone to embrace his life and return to the full knowledge of the truth.
Returning to the main topic, our weekend journey to the church in Juliaca, la Iglesia Emanuel Juliaca, was a tremendous success and a time for rejuvenation through the Word and the Spirit. The presence of God was palpable as we delivered sermons and ministered across all the services. All glory to God for His works through us, as my wife and I remain steadfast, not yielding to the status quo. We carry a message for the people here, one that we will not dilute, modify, or compromise, despite the pressures to do so. In the face of widespread apostasy, our resolve to proclaim the Gospel of Christ's truth, in season and out of season, is unwavering. Our mission is to please God, our Abba Father, serving Him in spirit and truth, not to please men.
Act 5:26-29 TPT So the captain of the temple guard and his officers went to arrest them once again, but without using force, for they were afraid the people would stone them. (27) When they brought them before the council, the high priest demanded an explanation, (28) saying, “Didn’t we strictly warn you that you were to never again teach in this name? But instead, you have now filled all of Jerusalem with this doctrine and are committed to holding us responsible for this man’s death!” (29) Peter and the apostles replied, “We must listen to and obey God more than pleasing religious leaders.
