Another year has arrived, and we are grateful for its presence. Despite the challenges of the past year, we enter this New Year with the possibility of facing similar obstacles. However, I challenge you to resist the temptation of being a mere follower and to not be deceived by the enemy. Resistance is not futile! Although it may sound like a line from a Star Trek series, the truth is that the world has changed rapidly, and fear is being used more and more to control people everywhere. But don’t be fooled, it’s not true at all.
(Rom 12:2 TPT) Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
As Christians, it is time for us to wake up and recognize that we are living in trying times of biblical proportions. We are in the world, but we are not of this world. The above scripture is our key to living free from the fear tactics of the enemy, who tries to keep us quiet. If we don’t comply, he will call us out and make an example of us. As we begin to transform ourselves through the renewing of our minds with the Word of God, we will be more apt to discern the truth of God from the lies, threats, and pressure of the world to be like them.
Every year, before going into a new year, God seems to give me a word or a phrase that will help me get through the year. Generally, it is always something positive and encouraging. What He gives me, I usually take personally, but that does not mean that what He gives me cannot be for others as well. So, if what I say turns on a green light in your spirit, please feel free to take it for yourself. Let me let you in on a secret: anytime I hear something that turns on that green light in my spirit, I always take it for myself.
This year, I was given three words: reconnection, reuniting, and restorations. But the biggest emphasis was placed on the word RESTORATION."
(Joe 2:25a KJV) And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm,
As I mentioned earlier, this year is not going to be a year of gloom and doom. However, I encourage you to take this as your own word from God!”
